Sweater Weather

Sweaters are essential for the winter season, to stay hot when it's not. This outfit is made from neutrals colours. lets start of with the sweater from Zara. It looks so cosy and warm, just what you need for the freezing cold, but i'm sure you don't want to look underdressed with it being oversized. solution is to pair the sweater with from formal trousers. This patten is very subtle, so it doesn't draw so much attention nor it is distracting. Cosy up with a beige scraf and some brown ankle boots made more real leather. Now for a bit of bling, match the outfit with a brown strapped watch from river island. As always, links are down below :)

Ugly just got cute!

Now i don't know about you but for christmas i seem to always receive a seasonal jumper. This year my grandparents brought me a minion christmas jumper. I have only worn it once and probably never again until next year. So if your in a similar situation to me and have receive a jumper that didn't quite reach your style standards, then turn that frown upside down because ugly just got cute. So lets say you go this Christmas jumper dress, i would pair it up with other items of clothing that match together, that way you could still blend in if you wanted or you can really stand out with the red or whatever colour jumper you have. As its a dress, i thought cute knee high socks to keep the legs warm while in the knee high leather boots from TopShop. Since your in Topshop, why not pick up this Slim pocket coat too. Im not really a hat type of girl, therefore i would normally go for ear muffs, and these grey fluffy ones are perfect accessory from Accessorize. Every one needs a bag when they're out and about, so if you have a few pennies to spare (or well pounds) then treat yourself to a bag from Burberry, its goes so well with the leather boots.

Nearly Christmas!!

I don't get into the Christmas spirit until I watch my favorite ballet... *drum rolls*... THE NUTCRACKER!! so I just watched the brilliant version of the nutcracker by Matthew Bourne and it gets me so hyped. The music, the dancing, the costumes brings me so much excitement. *I thought this was meant to be a fashion blog?!* well, it is, lets forget about Clara, the nutcracker and all them lot, lets focus on the marshmallow ladies. Now if you still don't know what they look like, have a quick glimpses at the top... Aren't they malicious? All that PINK, THE FLUFF, POM POMS HERE, POM POMS THERE, CRAZINESS EVERYWHERE! Now i'm not sure about you but i would never pick up the confidence to try and pull those outfits off on a night out, so lets tone it down and have a more appropriate approach. I've chosen a white funnel neck bodysuit from topshop for the simple base of the outfit. Accompanying the bodysuit is this wonderful taupe tulle mesh midi skirt. I just love these types of skirts, it just reminds me of my young ballet days. This is quite natural, not too pink and not too bright. Now what shoes, you can't wear boots because that's too heavy, you cant wear lace up sandals because that would be too restricting. Don't worry i have a solution. I saw my friend wear these very unique shoes from prettylittlething, and to be honest, they are just prefect for this out fit (Has to be pink of course). The pink fluff gives the sense of the feathery skirt of the costume and i've incorporated the pom poms on the dress with this white pom pom hair tie, you can have one or many, depending on your personal hair style. Speaking about fluff, you don't want to be cold on these winter days, wrap yourself up with this light pink faux fur coat, it even has a hood. Finally, an outfit is never complete without a bit of bling, so I've chosen a simple and long necklace. If you like any of these items, check out the link below. Enjoy your upcoming days to christmas.

Early Christmas present!

I just received my pink instax mini 8!! I just can't contain my excitement and test my new baby out. But let's get technical (just for a tiny bit) , the Instax mini 8 runs on Fujifilm Instant Colour Film (instax mini). Now if you were going to buy the film in store or on the official website then that could cost you about £15 for a pack of 20, however I think bulking the quantity is going to save you money in the long run. I saw a great deal to get 100 for £46.93 with free p&p from eBay (although it is a two delivery and I'll post the link below). The camera has multiple exposures, but if you not know much about exposures then the camera will indicate the best setting by lighting up an orange led and then you manually turn the dial on that setting. That little light can be a life saver, you don't want to go wasting your film when that costs are that high! On the cam, the different settings are indoors/night (F12.7), cloudy/shade (F16), sunny/slightly cloudy (F22), sunny/bright (F32) and high-key. High-key gives a brighter and soft expression to the photo. The always-on flash has an effective range of 0.6m - 2.7m, so that's pretty good. There's also lots of cute accessories to go with the camera such as cases and different themed boarded film. And DON'T forget that it comes in different colours: black, white, blue, *pink*, yellow with brand new additions of raspberry and grape! *delicious* I am very much going to enjoy taking lots of photos  with my beloved Blossom. <3 (My camera is called Blossom for future mentions)

Beginnings...

Hiya, my name is Jess and today I thought I will start a blog about fashion and what I would ideally love to wear but not being able to afford it BUT a girl can dream <3 I also going to get a baby pink Polaroid for Christmas, so that I can post similar styled photos of street fashion next year but we'll have to wait a few week for that. Now a tiny bit about me, i'm 18 yrs old and i'm a photography student studying at foundation level at LCC (and i'm loving it, great course) and it's likely from time to time that i'm going to post bits and pieces on my current projects and the photo down below is me :)
